The company was founded in 1958 (formerly known as Dengfeng Refractory Material Factory). In 2001, under the coordination of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, and the Municipal Economic Commission, the company invested 30 million yuan to merge the local state-owned Dengfeng Clay Mine Special Refractory Material General Factory to form Henan Dengfeng Guangda Refractory Co., Ltd, Ltd. The registered capital is 60 million yuan. The new company now has fixed assets of 80 million yuan. The company has a total of 158 employees, covering an area of 66,000 square meters, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 tons.

Guangda currently has the following main equipment: 15 presses: mainly 1 800-ton and 1 500-ton fully automatic hydraulic brick presses, 1 630-ton, 2 500-ton, and 10 315-ton series program-controlled brick presses, a kiln temperature of up to 1550°C, a 96-meter-long high-temperature tunnel kiln and a 46-meter high-temperature push plate kiln, a 1700-degree high-temperature shuttle kiln, and related complete ancillary facilities.
